"'The Lodestar' is a classic synthwave sounding track from Panda's Dream (a really interesting act name none the less by the way) a russian electronic act; leaning to a downtempo rythm and filled with retrosynth sounds and melodies that transport you to an eerie winter landscape, this instrumental piece transmits a sense of serenity that holds your attention until it ends, the tight and dry mixing of the synth drums merge really well with the overtones of the overall instrumentation of the track. Siberian music producer Evgeny Ruzavin's inspiring 80's influenced production and polished sonic skills, deliver a successful ambient in this one; be sure to give Panda's Dream a listen specially if you enjoy instrumental retrosynth ambiences."

INSIDE THE TRACK: [artist's commentary]

This is a title track from single "The Lodestar" released 25 May 2019. The track composed in 2013. It made quite a long way to be released.

I paid special attention to creation of the main melody. The goal was to make it interesting and not trivial. I like to play this melody live on a synthesizer.

While recording I used analog synthesizer Korg Poly-800 which was purchased recently that time. Roland SH-101 is used for bass. Main melody was made using Access Virus B.
